My Background
I have been in private practice in north London since 1997.
I have taught and lectured on the A.T.S.A.C accredited therapist courses in addiction in London and Edinburgh.
Facilitated and led men's groups in sex addiction and compulsive behaviours.
I am an integrative psychotherapist and counsellor. Integrative psychotherapy involves a wide variety of therapeutic approaches and techniques. Working integratively allows me to be open to people’s needs and to be able to respond in a variety of different ways. I believe people are unique individuals and thus I offer a holistic, integrative approach. Since 1995 I have been running a successful therapy private practice for adults. I currently work from comfortable private consulting rooms in Hampstead, North London.
Devised the art psychotherapy intermediate and advanced courses at the Marylebone centre for psychological therapies, a pioneering and world renown centre in the treatment of sex addiction. A member of the distinguished speaker series for the Marylebone centre. Presented and devised workshops at the A.S.A.C conference in central London.
Qualifications
I completed my United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (U.K.C.P) accredited psychotherapy training at the Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education London, (I.A.T.E). This is recognised as one of the leading training organisations in the United Kingdom with the highest standard of excellence in both academic and clinical training. I am a professional member of I.A.T.E, a professional body with a strict code of ethics ensuring the highest standards of confidentiality and professional practice.
Associations
I am registered with the U.K.C.P the largest professional body for psychotherapists in the U.K. The U.K.C.P ensures that all their therapists are professionally trained and qualified and are in ongoing professional development.
I have a wide range of experience, working for twelve years in social services, therapeutic centres, and with a consultant Psychiatrist in hospitals, foster care associations, and schools. I currently work with several G.P’s in north London, Employee Assistant Programmes including B.U.P.A and eating disorder associations. With fifteen years previous experience in theatre and television, my involvement in creative expression enhances my work as a therapist.
